     Now a day’s electronic appliances come with rating system & we are at the threshold where every building will be rated with Green Building Rating system, exactly both serve the same motive energy efficiency.  With respect to Building energy efficiency during its Life Cycle i.e.,

During this stages if we suffice in the use of energy & reduce harm to environment without hampering the needs of the future generations we probably are on the track of sustainability. For which not only Mother Nature will reward us with clean environment but the local authority like municipal corporations with the directions of MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Government of India) will award rating system to the building. This can fetch us good habitual environment with energy efficient building, subsidies, enhance property value, a good resale value etc., Rating systems are to be mandated for government buildings along with  private owners sooner or later.

           We are not alone opting for Green rating systems lets know who is who in green rating; GRIHA,ECO Housing, – India, BREEAM – United Kingdom, LEED – USA, GREEN MARK – Singapore, Green Globes – Canada etc, there are several building codes & standards;  BEE, ECBC, IGBC, ASHRAE etc, Analysis techniques like Carbon Footprint, Ecological Footprint, Life Cycle Assessment etc, Certificate regimes like CER’s Certified Emissions Reductions, Carbon Credits etc, available to access on internet which can provide us with ample data for guidelines to become GREEN.
